Warrnambool Youth Council presents: Free Screening of 2040

Dates:
Wed, 18/09/2019 - 7:00pm to 9:00pm

Feeling helpless about climate change? The 2040 documentary is the film you need right now. Damon Gameau, actor-turned-filmmaker, is well known for his first documentary “That Sugar Film” which went on to become Australia's highest grossing documentary of all time, inspiring thousands to get healthy and cut sugar from their lives. Gameau's new film 2040 bills itself as a "journey to explore what the future could look like by the year 2040 if we simply embraced the best solutions already available to us." In other words - what if we stopped wasting time searching for the answers to climate change - and started using the ones we already have right now?

Warrnambool Youth Council, who are partners of the Warrnambool 2040 Community Plan are committed to the goals in the W2040 plan which include a zero-carbon, sustainable future for our City. Youth Council are hosting two free community screenings for primary schools (1pm) and community (7pm). They will be encouraging Warrnambool people to make a pledge to take “small actions that will make a BIG difference” to the City’s future – our future!
