Warrnambool: Beach Clean: Sea Shepherd Marine Debris Campaign

Dates:
Sun, 14/07/2019 - 12:00pm to 2:00pm

Warrnambool’s Marine Debris team are asking for your help! Have a read at what they said below.

Area Coordinator Susie - “We have heard reports that there is a lot of micro plastics there so we would encourage people to bring along sieves if they’d like to look for the micro plastics.

The name of the road we will be setting up on is Blue Hole Road. And it’s just a hop skip and a jump from our Southern Right Whale nursery and the Mums should be there with new bubbas around the time of our clean up.

The Blue Hole is where the Hopkins River mouth runs into the Sea. It’s a popular fishing spot with tourists and locals so I’m expecting we will find lots of fishing tackle, line and bait bags etc”.

This is your chance to take direct action – Join us as we go Plastic Free for July - there's no better reason than protecting a Southern Right Whale nursery.
