WAG is the fifth oldest public art collection in Australia. The depth of the collection reflects the 133 years that it has taken to assemble the more than 2,000 paintings, sculptures, photographs, drawings, decorative arts, cultural material and public art acquired since 1886.

WAG, in partnership with Gippsland Art Gallery (GAG) are thrilled to present 'The Enchanted: Odilon Redon Master Prints', an exhibition of lithographs and drawings by the French symbolist master Odilon Redon (1840 - 1916).

In 2019 Warrnambool Art Gallery is delighted to present Haunting, a projection, video and photographic exhibition developed by the National Museum of Australia (NMA) in collaboration with Vic McEwan (The Cad Factory) during his residency at NMA in 2015.

In collaboration with Simon Linardi (Atelier Cartel), WAG launches the reimagined Family Learning Gallery through the fantasy story-telling of The Bull Cow. The Bull Cow is a hybrid whale-cow creature never before seen by humans.
