Educating Screenagers: Professional Development Workshop:

This interactive workshop will deliver insights from the latest research on the characteristics defining Generation Z, unpacking what the findings mean for educators, and facilitating key take home strategies to more effectively engage with Gen Z and facilitate learning.

The workshop will begin with a presentation by Katie Iles of Hello Clarity, Australia's foremost researcher in generational engagement. The second half of the day will be an interactive session focusing on integrating the presentation's learnings into effective strategies for engaging with Gen Z.

Teachers, youth workers, and anyone engaging with young people.

- The Gen Z worldview and how it impacts learning environments
- Critical issues affecting learning, growth and development
- How Gen Z communicate
- Gen Z expectations of study, work and leadership and what this means for educators
- Gen Z distinctive: strengths, challenges and opportunities for personal growth.

The work-shop is facilitated by Katie Iles of from Hello Clarity. Hello Clarity is a research-based strategy and communications company Directed by Australia’s foremost researcher in generational engagement and author of ‘Hello Gen Z’, Claire Madden. Claire’s team is highly regarded for their dynamic and engaging research-based presentations that equip leaders, managers and educators to effectively build teams, engage generations and respond to change. The Hello Clarity team are regularly featured on Sky News, Today, Sunrise and The Morning Show. Katie passionately traverses the cross-section between leadership, emerging generations, effective communication and cultural engagement.

Attendance will contribute 6 hours of PD addressing the following standards from the Australian Professional Standards
for Teachers: 1.2, 2.6, 3.3, 3.5, 4.1, 4.5 & 6.2.

Due to our partnership with Advance the workshops have been subsidised from $250pp to $50pp, with an exclusive price of $25 for Advance and Duke of Ed schools.
