Camperdown & Warrnambool Heritage Train Ride

Sat, 13/02/2021 - 12:50pm to 3:35pm

Steamrail Victoria invites you to ride on our diesel hauled heritage train between Camperdown and Warrnambool, hauled by iconic 1961 streamlined diesel locomotive S313 and a yet to be announced second locomotive.  (During the warmer weather steam locomotives are not able to be used). The train will travel through the South West's lush dairy country to Warrnambool, catching glimpses of the famous Lady Bay as we arrive for a short 55 minute stop to turn the locomotives. Use this opportunity to ride our heritage 'E' type carriages all the way to the end of the line for the first time in 17 years. From here the train will return from the great south coast towards Camperdown. Travelling at a more leisurely pace, experience 'old-school' air-con with the windows open in our heritage wooden carriages dating back to 1906. Tickets can be used for a return journey from Camperdown to Warrnambool or one way in either direction. Note: for one way travel, you will need to organise your own transport back to your originating station if needed.
